Making the Connections

We visited Roma, Firenze, Cinque Terre, and Venezia, and still I feel that I did not get enough of Italy.

 

For me, the Grand Tour Redux offered a look into 2,000+ years of history that in a way helped shape who we are today. I got to have a feel for how one of the most powerful empires was managed, how Catholic Rome took hold and helped make it the epicenter of an entire faith, the paradigm shifts that came with the Renaissance, trade, and of course, for self reflection in the mountains of Cinque Terre.
